Long translations & new customers: For translations of over 500 words, technically complicated and/or specialist translations please email the document(s) to translation@chinaonecall.com to request a quotation. If you have an urgent request please telephone one of our 24/7 sales numbers on our contacts page.
Prices can vary and we will need to see the document to give an accurate quotation. However as a rule of thumb we charge around £40 GBP, $60 USD, €45 EUR per 500 words. There is a minimum of 500 words for customers who do not have an interpreter account and we take a 50% down-payment in advance and 50% on completion of the work.
We can provide both English to Chinese and Chinese to English translation services. We believe that no matter how good a translator’s language skills they should only translate into their native language. This is standard practice in international translation agencies.
English to Chinese: We have a team of full time professional translators who are native speakers of Chinese and are fluent in English. Prices are calculated on a per word basis.
For translations into Chinese please state if you will require Simplified Chinese characters (as used in mainland China) or Traditional Chinese characters (as used in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).
Chinese to English: We have a network of freelance professional translators who are native English speakers and are fluent in Chinese. Prices are calculated on a per character basis.
For translations into English please state if you require US, British or another form of English and we will choose the appropriate translator for the job.
If you require a translation of less than 500 words you will need to sign up as a ChinaOneCall customer purchasing a minimum of 60 minutes interpreter time (see www.chinaonecall.com/tariffs for more prices) and we will deduct charges from your interpreter account (see below).
Short translations for existing ChinaOneCall customers: If you are a customer already using our telephone interpreter service then we can do short translations for you deducting minutes from your account balance using the following formula:
2 minutes standard charge (per document) plus 1 minute for every 1-10 words up to a maximum of 500 words.
